Spring Hair Accessories

What can be more exciting than adding a little spring to your…. Hair?

I’ll be honest. I’m not much for hair accessories. I’m a hair product and hair appliance girl, but my hair often looks like a lion’s mane when placed behind a headband. My facial features aren’t that great for updo’s either. So I’m left, more often than not, wearing my boring hair down or pinned back with plain bobbies. Dull.

But with the coming spring weather, why not mix up your spring hairstyle as well? Adding in a detailed bobby pin or a lace flower can pull an outfit together.

My favorite place to get hair accessories is Kohl’s. Not only are they inexpensive, but they have a wide variety of non-childish options. I also love Etsy for their creative and unique pieces. My wedding hair pins were from an Etsy shop and I loved them. Kate at www.thesmallthingsblog.com also has fantastic YouTube videos for various hairstyles that would look great with a flower pin, headband, or decorated bobbies.

Today I attempted to add a little spring to my unwashed side bun using a brooch. I think it turned out nicely.

So, as we look ahead to sunny weather and warm temperatures, why not stick some pretties in your hair?
