I’ve been drooling over a pair of tall Hunter boots for a while. I’m not ready to take the plunge and spend $140 on rubber boots, though. My mid-rise Chookas have been doing a fairly decent job keeping my feet dry in all this snow, but I really want something a bit more fashionable and bright. Cue a pop of red or pink! Sigh… They really are just so shiny and perfect aren’t they? But there are Hunter boot knock-offs floating around the web these days. These knock-offs, while still made of rubber and still getting the job done (keeping your feet dry), cost a fraction of the original brand. I’ve done some research, compiled a list, and weeded out the options with excessively bad reviews (like falling apart). All boots fit differently, so make sure you do read about the sizing style of the pair you choose before ordering.
Target, $39.99 a pair with BOGO 50% off, free shipping on orders over $50
Nomad Women’s Hurricane II, $57 with free shipping
Kamik, less than $70 and free shipping through Amazon, this particular style is called the Jennifer
Forever Young, Inc., $37.99 through Amazon
Chooka, $35-$60 through Amazon (can also be found at Nordstrom)
Capelli, $39.99 through Zulily
So if you’re looking for fashionable rain boots to get you through the snow and upcoming spring rains, make sure you shop around to get the best deal. After all, they are shoes and will be filthy, thus spending over $100 for a pair is absolutely ridiculous!
