Aztec and Tribal Prints

Today I finally spent my gift card to Francesca’s. I’ve had it since my birthday, mind you, so it was time to get rid of it. As I was browsing the shop, I noticed just how common the Aztec/tribal trend has become. While I love this style, and even purchased a few tops with Aztec prints, there is a “right” and a “wrong” way to wear this print. For example, the wrong way to wear Aztec includes:

Examples of the right way to pull off the Aztec look include:

As you can see from the “right” examples, pairing the Aztec print with a neutral solid works best. If you’re reluctant to try this trend, pair simple black and white prints with black skinny pants. Try a red and white print with jeans. Start with a sweater or cardigan and go from there. Before you know it you’ll love this trend as much as I do!

As always, here are some affordable Aztec pieces to add to your wardrobe.

If you are not local, I would definitely recommend checking out the smaller boutiques in your area. Both Karisma and Dottie Couture Boutiques ship their clothing. I’m not sure of JenDaisy Boutique, but I bet they do as well. Don’t be afraid to add these tribal pieces to your wardrobe; if done correctly, this trend will definitely get you lots of compliments!

Do you think you’ll wear Aztec/tribal prints?
