It Felt Like Friday Two Days Ago

The day that would never come… is finally here! My son has his first Christmas concert tonight at “school,” which is going to be adorable. (A gaggle of three year olds singing “Jesus Loves Me” and “Jingle Bells?” I can already feel the “awwww!” coming on!)

Today I used some of my new samples, as well as the Naked 3 palette. I primed with Clinique primer, which seems to be doing a good job. It went on light and didn’t leave my face feeling tight. It did not give an airbrushed appearance. I then used Too-Face eyelid primer, which I’m not too fond of already. My eyeshadow was really hard to layer on top of the eyelid primer. It didn’t go on as smoothly and did not give that glossy/shimmery look that I expected. Now, I’m not sure if this is the Too-Face primer or the new eyeshadow palette. I’ll know for sure tomorrow when I go primer-less on my eyelids.

Today I’m sporting a comfortable/casual look. I wanted something that I could wear both to work and the Christmas pageant. Warmth was another necessity.

Top: Mossimo white short-sleeved pocket tee, Target

Sweater: Heather gray long sweater with pockets, Francesca’s, $48 (last season, but I’ve been in since then and I have seen similar options in a wide variety of colors)

Pants: Rockin’ Republic for Kohls, red skinny ankle cropped denim, $50

Boots: Karisma, brown go-to

Necklace: Cost Plus World Market red and gold beaded toggle clasp, $14
